Matching · a score you can explain
A score you could work out by hand.
You set the job criteria and how much each one matters. Every candidate gets a score out of 100, worked out the same way for everyone. No black box: you always know why a profile tops the list.
Candidates see the same score on your ad before they apply.
Seven criteria to describe the role
No need to use them all: two or three well-chosen criteria already sort candidates very well.
Skills
Software, a technique, a trade: PC Compta, TIG welding, React, plant operation.
Languages
The language and the level you need, from basic to bilingual. One level below counts for half.
Location
A wilaya, specific towns, or a radius in kilometres. Distance is measured from the candidate's home.
Minimum experience
In years. With 2 years out of the 3 required, a candidate meets two thirds of the criterion.
Driving licence
B, C, D… Useful for delivery drivers, field sales reps or chauffeurs.
Education level
From baccalaureate to PhD. One level below counts for half.
Remote work
Is the candidate open to working remotely?
Every criterion has its weight
You decide what's a deal-breaker and what's just a bonus.
Mandatory
Weight 4. If it's missing, the score drops to 30% of its value and the missing criterion is flagged on the candidate's card.
Very important
Weight 3. Counts heavily in the score without ruling anyone out.
Important
Weight 2. Separates profiles that are close.
Nice to have
4 bonus points, up to 12. Never costs points to candidates who don't have it.
An accountant role, two candidates
This table is calculated by Djoblik's own engine. The base score is the average of the criteria, weighted by importance. Bonus points are added, then the penalty applies if a mandatory criterion is missing.
| Criterion | Importance | Candidate A | Candidate B |
|---|---|---|---|
| PC Compta proficiency | Mandatory | 100% | 0% |
| 3 years' experience minimum | Very important | 67% | 100% |
| Fluent French | Important | 50% | 100% |
| B driving licence | Nice to have | 100% | 100% |
| Match score | 82/100 | 18/100 | |
Candidate A meets the mandatory criterion. They're one year of experience and one French level short, hence 82/100: top of your list.
Candidate B has more experience and better French, but doesn't know PC Compta, which you made mandatory. The score drops to 18/100 and the missing criterion is flagged.
What the score guarantees, on both sides
The same calculation for everyone
No candidate can pay to move up your list. The ranking depends only on your criteria.
Candidates see their score
Before applying, they see their score on your ad and any mandatory criteria they're missing. Anyone who isn't a fit knows straight away.
Anonymous profiles
You judge on background, skills and score. Name and contact details only appear once you unlock.
Frequently asked questions
Can a candidate who doesn't meet my criteria still apply?
Yes. They see their score before sending their application and decide with full knowledge. In your Kanban, applications are ranked by score, so weak matches don't waste your time.
What if my ad has no criteria?
The score is then based on the skills, experience and town stated in the ad. It's less precise: two or three criteria are enough to sharpen it.
How is distance calculated?
As the crow flies, between the candidate's home town and the job's towns, using the official list of Algerian municipalities. Within the radius, the criterion is met. Beyond it, it counts less and less, and not at all at twice the radius.
